“After Kandinsky” is an exploration of colors and circles created using the transparent nature of plastic bags. Pieces in this group were inspired by Kandinsky’s “Several Circles” and the dominance of circles in many of his compositions. For me, there is something very magical about how plastic bags “glow” when backlit. The added shadows of the thread add extra dimension that can only be created in a medium that can leap off of the page.
