This project is in early stages of development.

PWP is an interactive data visualization project that documents the average amount of time it takes to park

in various NYC neighborhoods, and calculates the average volume of C02 emitted and the amount of money spent on gas for parking purposes. The project also explores the implications of parking regulations, and how changes to these regulations could reduce pollution.

Users are able to explore the interactive environment on a macro scale (by comparing burroughs) or on a micro scale (by comparing neighborhoods). Once a geographic location is chosen the average volume of C02 emitted for the region, while an individual finds a parking spot, is presented in images of 2L bottles of C02. Statistics about the cost of gas and parking regulations are provided. An animation provides a scaled version of time.

Data is currently being collected in order to complete this project.
