Understanding Body Image Through Production
This workshop offers a unique opportunity to look at beauty and body image as the model, the photographer, the photo-retoucher and as the magazine editor. We will discuss contemporary images in the media, explore the historical lineage of such images, read and discuss relevant articles offering multiple perspectives, and the opportunity to explore it all by learning and experimenting with the production tools used to "retouch" photos for mass media. This workshop can be modified for a high school, college or adult audience.

(access to a facility with computers is necessary)

Introduction to Web Design
During this workshop you will learn the basic tools to create and maintain your own website using Dreamweaver CS3. We will cover basic html, creating and using a template, using images, and formatting your material using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Experience using email and using search engines on the web is helpful. This workshop can be modified for middle school, high school, college or adult audiences. The workshop can also be offered as a "crash course" for those starting with some digital skills.
